JavaFX Tech Test Train
Climb Aboard the JavaFX Tech Test Train:
Test your JavaFX knowledge by answering questions posed by the conductor of the JavaFX Tech Test Train. The more you get right the further down the track you progress.
Released:
July 2009
Creator:
Sun Microsystems
Website:
http://www.javafx.com/learn/training.jsp
Requirements:
JRE 1.5 or later. The game is written using JavaFX v1.2 and is played online.
The Game:

There are various routes you can choose to travel on the Tech Test Train. These follow specific JavaFX topics: Getting Started, Core Constructs, GUI Constructs, Deployment and Media. Each route is made up of a series of rounds that progress the train along the route. The further you go, the harder the questions become.

Once a route has been chosen, questions are asked about that topic. Each question has to be answered correctly within a 15 second time limit otherwise you will incur a strike. Three strikes and the conductor will throw you off the train. If you don't know the answer there are options to call a friend or ask a stranger (although beware, their answers aren't always the right ones!)

Each question expects the answer to be typed in by the player. However, there is an auto-complete feature to help you answer within the time limit and to prevent the annoyance of not guessing the exact phrasing.
